Iowa Custom T-Shirts & Hats

Custom embroidery

Custom embroidery stitched in-house in Iowa

Embroidery stitches your logo directly into the garment with thread, giving polos, hats and jackets a polished, professional look that outlasts the garment itself.

We digitize your logo once, keep the stitch file on hand and stitch every order in our own shop. Order one piece or a full team, with no minimums.

Our custom embroidery process

  1. Send your logo

Upload a vector file (SVG, PDF, AI or EPS) of your logo in solid colors.

  2. We digitize it

Our team converts your logo into a stitch file, choosing stitch types, direction and density for a clean result.

  3. Choose your thread

We match your logo to up to 8 thread colors and confirm placement and size with you.

  4. Stitched in-house

Your garments are hooped and stitched on our own embroidery machines, then trimmed and inspected.

  5. Easy reorders

We keep your stitch file, so reorders skip the digitizing fee and go straight to production.

Limitations to know before you order

  • Up to 8 thread colors

Each color is a separate thread, so designs are limited to 8 solid colors. We can help simplify logos with more.

  • No photos or gradients

Thread is a solid color, so photos, soft shadows and color fades cannot be stitched. Full color printing is the better choice for that art.

  • Maximum embroidery sizes

Left or right chest up to 4" x 4". Sleeves up to 3" x 3". Hat front up to 4.5" wide x 2" tall, and hat sides or back up to 2" x 2". For large designs on the back of a shirt, we recommend printing.

  • Small text and fine detail

Lettering under about 1/4" tall and very thin lines can close up or blur in thread. We may enlarge or simplify small details for a cleaner stitch.

  • Thin and stretchy fabrics

Lightweight tees and very stretchy performance fabrics can pucker under dense stitching. Polos, fleece, twill and caps give the best results.

  • One-time digitizing fee

Each new logo needs a one-time digitizing setup. Reorders of the same logo do not pay it again.

Works best for

  • Company logos on polos and work shirts
  • Hats, beanies and caps
  • Jackets, vests and soft shells
  • Left-chest logos and small names
  • Uniforms that are washed often

Artwork tips

  • Send vector artwork (SVG, PDF, AI or EPS) in solid colors only.
  • Use 8 or fewer colors and remove gradients, shadows and photo effects.
  • Keep lettering at least 1/4" tall at the finished size.

Custom embroidery FAQ

Is there a minimum for embroidery?
No. You can embroider a single item. Per-piece pricing drops at 5, 10, 20, 40, 80 and 100 pieces.
What is a digitizing fee?
Embroidery machines need a stitch file instead of an image. Digitizing is the one-time work of turning your logo into that file. We keep it, so you only pay once per logo.
How long does embroidery take?
Most embroidery orders are ready in 7-10 business days, including digitizing and your approval.
Can you embroider my full color logo?
Yes, as long as it can be shown in 8 or fewer solid colors. Photos and gradients cannot be stitched, so we may suggest a simplified version or printing instead.
Can you embroider hats?
Yes. We embroider the front, sides and back of caps and beanies. The hat front fits designs up to 4.5" wide by 2" tall.
Should I choose embroidery or printing?
Embroidery is best for logos on polos, hats and jackets that need a professional, long-lasting look. Printing is best for large designs, photos and full color art on tees and hoodies.
